Dynamic, central London boutique digital agency requires a highly ambitious Channel Strategist to work across the client’s client base which includes a mix of FMCG and a stunning world renowned and much loved film and entertainment conglomerate.

The Channel Strategist Role

Reporting into the Head of Planning, as Channel Strategist you will work closely with Community Management, Brand and Content Strategists and lead strategies which get the agency’s excellent content in front of the right target audience.

A doer as well as a thinker, you will help build social campaigns, liaise with media partners, guide Community Management and support the setting of KPI’s and be the go to person in the agency for insight into how people use digital and social media.

The ideal candidate will already be working in either a social media/digital agency or a media agency.

You will balance your social media insight with an understanding of how creative content really works in social.

Like all good Strategists you should be curious, collaborative and excited by new thinking and consumer insight.

Channel Strategist - Skills Required

  • Ability to become the knowledge centre for the agency on digital channel thinking
  • Great understanding of brands and how brands engage in social and digital
  • An up to date understanding of consumer attitudes, motivations and behaviour including how they consume communications on all digital platforms
  • Be able to develop business cases to demonstrate the value of digital and social media helping drive client investment
  • Have a thirst for keeping abreast of all trends, new technologies, formats and platforms within the world of digital media. Ensuring the agency are kept up to date on all opportunities and they are at the cutting edge of all innovations in the digital space
  • Be able to craft breakthrough social media strategies
  • Have the ability to enhance and add to creative through adding media context and consumer insight
  • Have an excellent understanding of content creation, content seeding, influencer engagement/ outreach and community management to drive user numbers and engagement
  • Have a track record in creating media plans and helping ensure they are executed as part of either Always on Social as well as specific campaigns.
  • Be able to execute paid for campaigns on an adhoc basis
  • Be good at offering constructive input in the further development of creative concepts, providing lateral and original thinking based on consumer and media understanding.
  • Have evidence of planning and designing online customer journeys and connections strategies to drive client business results

  • Be radically useful to clients and all agency teams
  • Have good business acumen
  • Be highly numerate
  • Keen to build relationships on the agency’s behalf with key media channels
  • Be curious about digital, media, innovation, human behaviour, marketing…the world

  • Strong relationship building skills with clients
