Our client are a national office supplier and are looking for an Ecommerce Trading Manager to maximise the potential of their websites in growing sales and profit margins as well as seeking further growth opportunities. They are known for their customer and staff loyalty and within their thriving expanding business there are great opportunities for development and exposure in this field. The Ecommerce Trading Manager will know all things ecommerce and the first point of contact for marketing and buying departments and thereby building and maintaining sales. They will be advisory at looking at new sales opportunities and gaps in the market. The Ecommerce Trading Manager will be responsible for creating a successful and effective ecommerce strategy as well as constantly reviewing and evaluating it as it is in progress making changes and recommendations where required. They will manage a small but growing team and will work hard to get the best out of them thereby building overall department capability.
Roles and responsibilities of the Ecommerce Trading Manager
Create solid ecommerce strategy and schedule, drawing in seasonal and promotional trading plans creating a cohesive plan that will deliver the overall company objectives
Manage the day to day sales performance for 3rd party channels including Ebay and Amazon. Through evaluating performance for key products, constantly striving for growth and identifying new profitable product ranges.
Be knowledgeable in all products, ranges and competitors thereby providing insight and recommendations where necessary
Review performance and report to key stakeholders and use this in decision making and planning going forward
Work closely with the digital marketing department to optimise web traffic and optimise sales
Manage a team and create a fully functioning, successful department
Skills and Attributes
Customer centric and has a great knowledge of their needs and wants and consumer behaviour
Ability to be a strong go to person in departments building strong relationships with other departments and has a holistic approach to achieving KPI's
Driven and thrives on success. Hungry for results and information, vocal and keen to ask appropriate questions and listen
Attention to detail and spend time delving in and have full confidence in all output
