Senior Account Executive / Junior Account Manager - various - up to £26k + bens

THE ROLE

Working on a range of projects across a number of products, the job requires flexibility and the ability to juggle several projects at once. Primary responsibilities will include:

Relationship-building

  • Build great strong relationships with clients by attending face-to-face meetings and be the daily point of contact for clients by telephone and email
  • Build clients’ trust – become a partner rather than a supplier
  • Strive to delight the client – sharing industry news and interesting developments

Campaign management

  • A mix of taking ownership of own campaigns, looking for proactive opportunities plus working with the AD/SAM as a team on bigger campaigns.
  • Write creative briefs and work closely with traffic and the creative teams to deliver high quality creative and on time
  • Traffic work through the studio
  • Create and amend: external and internal status reports, timeplans; client-meeting contact reports
  • Liaise with printers and other third party suppliers, including writing of print, lasering and fulfillment briefs

Financial accountability

  • Use in-house finance software to raise estimates and ensure budgets are adhered to
  • Manage monthly billing and time reporting
  • Actively seek opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability of the account
  • Keep clients fully informed about progress against budget changes

Teamworking/managing staff

  • Build an excellent relationship with all internal departments
  • Provide an accurate weekly and quarterly forecast to allow accurate resource planning
  • Be positive and enthusiastic about the work, and learn to motivate creative teams
  • Manage your own time effectively by knowing how to prioritise time
  • Managing an intern

Creative

  • Writing briefs for concepts/visuals/design/developer and work with project manager and AD to ensure that all relevant material is produced to agreed deadlines.
  • Appraising creative work and provide constructive feedback for creative excellence
  • Knowing more than anyone else about the client’s corporate identity and their creative ‘do’s and don’ts’
  • Pushing the clients to try more creative ideas

Business

  • Be able to write and research market reports and competitor reviews.
  • You must be a confident presenter, who can pull together well-ordered thoughts and present them to clients and colleagues.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the clients’ sector, their products and competitors.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for the clients’ business and industry
