An award-winning firm of chartered accountants and tax advisors with a strong, market leading international alliance is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to provide support for their Corporate sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, self-starter to join a busy, professional and highly regarded team in a role that offers exposure to a wide range of clients spanning a number of corporate sectors. The firm has experienced sustained and organic growth over the last six years and are now poised to embark on an ambitious programme of investment, development and growth. This significant investment programme, during the cycle of the current strategy, will allow the firm to develop into a market leading independent firm, acting for ambitious, large or scaling, sophisticated clients. Working closely with Partners and Directors, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving business development activity through the corporate sectors, with the opportunity to develop and execute the targeting strategy across a number of service lines. For the right candidate, there is the opportunity to be market facing, developing sales opportunities directly with clients. The Business Development Manager will enjoy a broad role, with both strategic and hand on responsibilities. You will work with Sector Heads to develop and deliver a business development strategy, identifying revenue growth through both the existing client base and new market opportunities and securing meetings with clients and targets. Championing best practice sales behaviour, you will play an important role contributing to bids, including the provision of coaching and best practice advice to develop compelling proposals and pitches. In addition, the role holder will potentially develop a key account programme across the firm. On the marketing side, you will work with the Marketing Managers to follow up from key events, campaigns and sponsorships, in order to set and maximise ROI.

Professional, articulate and able to communicate and build relationships with all levels, externally and internally, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience working in a similar role within a professional services or partnership environment, to include demonstrable success in building and executing a commercial targeting plan and in delivering ROI on events and campaigns. The Business Development Manager will need to be confident, resilient and assertive, possess excellent presentation skills and will thrive working under pressure and to tight deadlines. A sound knowledge of sales methodologies and CRM systems will also be highly advantageous.
